PROVINCIAL AFFILIATE AWARD
An art educator from each Canadian province can be presented with a CSEA/SCÉA Provincial Affiliate Award acknowledging excellence in art teaching or research. Typically, the selection of an award nominee is conducted by a provincial art teachers’ association (in Manitoba, this is the MAAE).  However, if a provincial association is not in a position to complete the selection process, a nomination can be submitted directly to the CSEA/SCÉA Executive.

The award(s) will be presented at the CSEA/SCÉA annual, national conference. Art educators in the K to 12 or the post-secondary levels can be nominated for this award. 

in order to be eligible for this award, the art educator must be a member of the CSEA/SCÉA.  If a nominee is not currently a member, a new membership can be obtained, then the nomination submitted.

Eligibility for this Award will be based on the following criteria: proven excellence in teaching and/or research, significant contributions to art education, upholding the mandate of the CSEA/SCÉA, proven leadership in art education, CSEA/SCÉA membership.
CSEA RONITA DEBLOIS
CANADIAN ART EDUCATOR OF THE YEAR (K-8)

Art educators teaching Kindergarten to Grade 8 in public or independent school systems in Canada can be nominated for this award. The nominee should be a mid to late career art educator and demonstrate: excellence in art teaching, leadership in art education, a significant contribution to art education locally and beyond, CSEA/SCÉA membership, the mandate of the CSEA/SCÉA. 

CSEA CANADIAN
ART EDUCATOR OF THE YEAR (9-12)

Art educators teaching Grades 9 to 12 in public or independent school systems in Canada can be nominated for this award. The nominee should be a mid to late career art educator and demonstrate: excellence in art teaching, leadership in art education, a significant contribution to art education locally and beyond, CSEA/SCÉA membership, the mandate of the CSEA/SCÉA. 

CSEA COMMUNITY ART EDUCATION AWARD
Community art educators or community organiza'ons in Canada can be nominated for this award. The nominee should demonstrate: leadership in community art education, a significant contribu'on to art education locally and beyond; the mandate of the CSEA/SCÉA.
