Before applying, please ensure that you are aware of the boundaries of this project grant funding:
- RECEIPTS MUST BE COLLECTED FOR ALL MICROGRANT SPENDING AND PROVIDED TO THE MAAE. (THIS INCLUDES ART SUPPLIES, ARTIST FEES, HONORARIA, ETC.)
- Funding may be spent on buying materials for your project or/and providing honorarium for an Indigenous Elder/Knowledge-Keeper, or a professional artist (using the rates suggested by CARFAC - Canadian Artist’s Representation - as a guideline). Funding may not be used towards the purchase of any permanent equipment such as kilns, printing presses, light tables, cameras, tablets, or other technological equipment.
- Projects must be completed during regular school day classes (at this time, MAAE funding is not available for after school programs, lunch hour programs, counselling/art therapy sessions, etc.). This will be posted on our website!
- Applicants will collect physical, itemized receipts as project funding is spent. No purchases can be made on school PO's or through school accounts please. Please send your physical receipts to the MAAE by June 15th, 2023.
