YOUR MAAE EXECUTive...
DO YOU MAKE YOUR OWN ART?
The MAAE will be hosting a series of First Friday art exhibitions, called Fresh Fridays in the Exchange District Community Church at 75 Albert Street, as a way to further connect art educators with the local visual arts community in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

ARE YOU A NEW ART TEACHER?
We have a great group for you. FRESH PAINT is a group of new art teachers that meets up to three times a year. Our goal is to support and mentor new art teachers and help you to network with each other to build connected teacher communities.
We have 2 after-school get-togethers and 1 meeting during school hours (substitute fees covered by the MAAE). Please contact Sarah Paradis if you are interested in becoming part of this new art teacher community.
ARE YOU A MEMBER OF MAWA?
Are you a female (or female-identified, or non-binary) artist and educator who needs to make more time for your own creative practice? Feeling isolated as a teacher or instructor? Spending all of your energy facilitating other peoples’ work? This is the group for you!
If you are a member of MAWA (Mentoring Artists for Women's Art) you can join the MAWA Artist-Teacher Group. Meet with others in your field monthly to critique each other’s work, share in the creative process, take workshops, exhibit and share peer support regarding what it means to be a teacher and an artist.
No need to register … just show up! Facilitated by Dawn Knight. We meet at MAWA (611 Main Street) once a month (the first Tuesday, at 6:30 PM - 9:30 PM).
